Clarity in a murky system.

Shoreline permitting can feel like navigating foggy waters:

complex rules, multiple agencies, and hidden obstacles at every turn.

At Shoreline Solutions, we chart a clear course for docks, piers, floats, and other

waterfront construction, keeping your project on track while ensuring compliance

with local, state, federal, and tribal regulations.

Where we work

 We work along the full stretch of Western Washington’s shorelines;

from the islands and inlets of Puget Sound to inland lakes and rivers throughout the region.

Shoreline Solutions has been guiding waterfront projects through the shoreline permitting process for more than 25 years. During that time, shoreline regulations across Washington State have grown increasingly complex, involving multiple jurisdictions, evolving environmental standards, and overlapping agency requirements. Our role is to make that system navigable; so our clients can move forward with confidence.

We specialize exclusively in shoreline and nearshore permitting for freshwater and marine environments throughout Western Washington, including Puget Sound. Our experience spans residential waterfront projects, marina communities, yacht clubs, and marine builders. We work daily with city and county governments, the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, the Department of Ecology, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA Fisheries, and Tribal governments; understanding not just the regulations themselves, but how the process actually works in practice.

What sets Shoreline Solutions apart is long-standing familiarity with the permitting landscape and a proven ability to secure approvals in an increasingly demanding regulatory environment. We provide clear guidance, realistic expectations, and steady coordination from initial strategy through final permit issuance. Clients rely on us because we know the system, we speak the language of the agencies involved, and we consistently deliver results.
